This Is by far the best driving school in CT , Maybe even everywhere. Well I started the program a couple of months ago and did my in the class hours and then once I got my permit I did the road hours with the school also. Which was a great idea because I learned a lot more. Now I successfully have my actual license because I also took my license test with them. Thank you Knepler Driving Schools!!!

I recently undertook re-training from Howard Knepler, and I was constantly put in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. I recently lost my right leg and had to be trained using my left from Howard. He was accommodating and understanding.

The drivers Ed classes really prepared me for my permit test which I passed and the 8 hours of driving lessons I recommend, they taught me the driving skills I needed to pass my road test, which was a very simple 20 minute test which practically everyone in the class passed.

Howard Knepler (Gary’s son) has helped me so much. I did class time with him at my local high school and I then proceeded to take driving lessons with him. When i started, I was an incredibly nervous driver, but Knepler Driving School specializes in nervous drivers and made me feel comfortable while driving. After class time and driving lessons with Knepler Driving School, I feel a lot more comfortable on the road. I am so grateful I took driving lessons with Knepler Driving School!!

Truly a great experience! I would recommend this school to anyone who struggles with nervous driving. It’s a very relaxed and professional training which will improve your driving ability far beyond any other school could.

I did the 30 hour classroom and 8 hour driving program. It is not good for someone who wants to slack off and get their license quick and easy with their friends. As a teen that’s all I really wanted, but this driving school does not even compare to my High School in terms of learning. The book work was a little excessive because it was barely checked at the end, but in retrospect I did read it all, and I am not one to read (the manual and a book). The lectures were informative probably 95% of the time, and so were the clips played. The driving part was also very informative. They had tricks that made reverse parking, parallel parking, and other “difficult” maneuvers easy. I took the test today, and passed and it was SO easy. I love the school because it fit my schedule. I play school sports and do not have time to sit through a mandatory class in school after school. Knepler is extremely flexible and you can take one of the classes whenever your heart desires. I recommend this school for people who want flexibility, skill, and safety!

Howard was a very kind, quirky and extremely patient instructor. He specializes in nervous young drivers and was instrumental in helping my daughter take her time, learn to relax and focus on learning the rules of the road.

My parents were prepared to pay five times as much to get me the best drivers education possible–but they didn’t have to! Gary Knepler Driving School gave me the best driver’s education possible at a reasonable and fair price. All the instructors are experts at what they do, and all have a great sense of humor. I totally recommend this school to anyone who is either new to driving or needs a good refresher; it helped me get over my anxiety of driving in no time. Totally recommended!
